Sensory Notebook
The Stationery Project
The Sensory Notebook was a short project on the connection between sustainability and inclusive design with a focus on sensory engagement. This notebook was made with only disposable stationery materials, prioritizing not only environmental responsibility but also the tactile relationship between textures and the user. During making this notebook I was highly conscious of how different textures feel. I wanted this design to pay attention to comfort and a sense of grounding for individuals, rather than just being a regular notebook, as well as not using any new materials.
The Designer’s Kit
The Stationary Project
“The Designer’s Kit” is a group collaboration with a focus on sustainability and innovation in the design world. Made completely from reusable material, this kit reduces waste while being durable and useful. This kit is fully made by hand, from riso printing, glue binding and making the folder. We have tried to make a product that is eco-conscious as well as locally made, valuing the art and skill of craft.
This collaboration included a long process of research, brainstorming and multiple stages of prototyping which helped to identify the weaknesses and strengths. By having multiple user testings we wanted to ensure that our kit is easy to use for all designers, supporting them through any stage of their design process. Which was the purpose of this kit: to value what designers do and ways to help them with stationery items that are focused on their practice, as well as creating zero waste to acknowledge how much we can do with materials that already exist around us.
A love letter to Cambie
An archive
“A love letter to Cambie” is a project that hopes to bring a sense of commuity within the “Cambie Village” neigbourhood. It started with me documenting icons and patterns that could be used and later deveoped that into a letter package, including a hand-written letter to the neighburhood and lots of pictures as riso prints.
